CHRIS WALKER VS. THE LUXXURY REMIX ALBUM

To celebrate the release of Sweet and Vicious: The Remixes – a collection of reinterpretations from the 2006 album Rock and Roll (is Evil) – electro/disco/rock juggernaut Luxxury is kicking off an extended weekend of record release parties in their hometown of San Francisco, San Jose, and eventually ending in New York City in late June. The festivities unfold as follows:

Thursday, May 24
The Workout @ Duplex
Featuring DJ sets by Baron Von Luxxury, Devin Dirt, and DJ Barbeau (of Dirty Sanchez)
San Francisco, CA

Friday, May 25
Luxxury Remix Album Release Party @ Lights Down Low/222 Club
San Francisco, CA

Saturday, May 26
Luxxury Remix Album Release Party @ Johnny V’s
San Jose, CA

Thursday, June 21
Luxxury Remix Album Release Party @ A.P.T.
New York City, NY

Lucky for you, I’ve heard Sweet and Vicious in its entirety (which is dark and gorgeous, to say the least) and even have a couple exclusives to bestow upon you. Here are two of my favorite remixes (among many) from the album:

[MP3] Luxxury: Rock and Roll is Evil (Devin Dirt’s Fat Elvis Remix)

[MP3] Luxxury: Drunk (Toulouse Fight Club Remix)

Sweet and Vicious: The Remixes is available May 22 on iTunes and Beatport. For more on Luxxury visit their completely overhauled and incredibly stylish new website. Or just hit up ‘the Space’:
